As both a biological parent and stepparent, she understands firsthand the complexities of navigating different parenting roles, family structures, and relationships. She enjoys helping individuals and couples navigate these dynamics, establish healthy boundaries, strengthen communication, and create a greater sense of connection within their families.
Her additional areas of focus include motherhood, pregnancy, postpartum adjustment, body image, relationship transitions, and intimacy concerns. She recognizes how evolving identities, family responsibilities, and life transitions can affect both individual well-being and romantic relationships.
Cara provides LGBTQ+ affirming, sex-positive therapy and integrates a person-centered, strengths-based approach into her work. She strives to create a compassionate, nonjudgmental environment where individuals and couples feel supported in navigating challenges and building meaningful, lasting connections.
