Maria Koch, LMSW
Maria Koch, LMSW (New York licensed), is a relationally focused therapist who is especially passionate about supporting young adults and couples as they navigate identity development, communication challenges, and life transitions.
Maria works with individuals experiencing anxiety, depression, self-doubt, and relational stress. She understands the unique pressures young adults face — including academic stress, career uncertainty, dating and intimacy concerns, and shifting family dynamics — and provides a grounded, nonjudgmental space to build confidence and clarity.
She also supports couples seeking to strengthen communication, rebuild trust, deepen emotional and physical connection, and move through conflict more effectively. Maria helps partners slow down reactive cycles and develop practical tools for healthier patterns.
Her approach integrates evidence-based modalities including CBT, DBT, ACT, and Solution-Focused Therapy. She balances skills-based strategies with relational insight, helping clients build resilience, improve self-awareness, and create meaningful, lasting change.
Maria is a Licensed Master Social Worker (LMSW) providing individual and relationship therapy under the supervision of Clinical Supervisor Cara Cole, LCSW
